The Youth Orchestra of Lewiston-Auburn (YOLA) is a string orchestra providing the orchestral experience for young musician creating excitement and passion in music through a committed approach to performing. Playing in an ensemble develops teamwork, camaraderie, and a sense of community while enhancing individual skills.
Director
YOLA is directed by Linda Vaillancourt, who earned her undergraduate music degree from the University of Southern Maine and her Master’s in viola performance from the University of Maine. For over a decade, Linda has taught students from pre-K to high school seniors. She currently teaches band and orchestra at North Yarmouth Academy. Actively involved in ASTA and NafME/MMEA, Linda has served as orchestra vice president and manager of the Maine All-State Orchestra. She frequently performs as violist in the Bangor Symphony, Maine Chamber Ensemble, and Maine Music Society.
Schedule
Rehearsals are Tuesdays, 7:30-8:30 pm

The first rehearsal is January 16.

Cost
$100
This includes weekly rehearsals and two performances.
